Cloud forests are among the least studied and yet they are most threatened of ecosystems. Alarachi Forest Trust supports science outreach in the following areas:

• Forest-community Livelihoods

Tourism

According to a United Nations report, the global travel industry makes $7 trillion each year and represents 9% of global GDP. However, only 5% of that stays in local communities.

However, people are increasingly seeking immersive local cultural experiences that are respectful, ethical and sustainable.

In partnership with Karvansarai, we have designed a bespoke travel experience that will bring positive impact to the Alarachi reserve and to our host community of Padcaya. An extremely unique itinerary will be created that incorporates travel to neighbouring areas across the Bolivia.
